When to Involve the Police

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1.

If your area does not have a 9-1-1 service, call your local police emergency number.

What if the Situation is Not Dangerous Yet?

Even if the situation is not yet dangerous, one can still reach out to the following services to learn about resources and plan out next steps. You can also ask for your information to be kept confidential.

What are Victim Services?

Victim service organizations work with law enforcement to aid victims of crime

They can assist with:

  • Developing a plan to protect yourself
  • Connect you with community- based organizations
  • May also be able to provide interpretation services
