Police Involvement
Police involvement may result in the involvement of Child Protection Services if children reside with you.
If comfortable, bring a trustworthy friend, family member or other advocate with you when meeting with police, lawyers, etc.
The police department may be able to arrange for an officer to escort you back to the home at a later time to remove any additional personal belongings.
The following are suggestions NOT recommendations on how to navigate such situations.
